Semester Two got off to a roaring start last week, and the fun continues as we finish up the month of July with a star-studded week at the Film Group, featuring the likes of Chris Pratt, Ben Stiller, Naomi Watts, Carey Mulligan, Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone and Rachel McAdams. And did we mention the dinosaurs?

• Wed 29 July @ 7:30 PM: WHILE WE’RE YOUNG

A middle-aged couple’s career and marriage are overturned when a younger couple enters their lives, and the generation gap proves more difficult to navigate than they thought. Starring Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts.

• Thu 30 July @ 7:30 PM: MOMMY

In this acclaimed Canadian film, a widowed single mother, who is overwhelmed by the difficulty of raising her troubled son alone, begins to receive assistance from her mysterious new neighbour. Winner of the Jury Prize at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival.

• Fri 31 July @ 7:30 PM: FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD + ALOHA

In FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD, an independent and headstrong woman (Carey Mulligan) finds herself attracting three very different suitors: a sheep farmer; a reckless army sergeant; and an older bachelor.

Then, in ALOHA (at approx. 9:30 PM), a military contractor (Bradley Cooper) returns to Hawaii and reconnects with a former love (Rachel McAdams) while unexpectedly falling for the officer (Emma Stone) assigned to supervise him.

• Sat 1 Aug @ **7 PM**: JURASSIC WORLD + EX MACHINA

In JURASSIC WORLD, scientists create a new dinosaur in an attempt to boost declining attendance rates at the theme park – but everything goes wrong when their newest attraction escapes and goes on a killing spree.

Then, in EX MACHINA (at approx. 9:15 PM), a young programmer is selected to participate in a groundbreaking experiment and is tasked with evaluating the world’s first true artificial intelligence, in the form of a beautiful robot girl.
