The biblical plagues (blood rivers, reptiles, lice, flies, disease, boils, hail, locusts, darkness and the death of the firstborn) happened centuries ago in Egypt. But what if they were to happen again? A small town is seemingly in the midst of these plagues and Katherine Winter (Swank), a miracle debunker, comes out to investigate. She begins to be drawn into the town and it's dark secrets. Is it the end of the world or something simpler?

The Reaping is one of the more intelligent horror films to come out in the last few years. It's very unpredictable and still manages to pack a punch in the horror and gore section. Highly recommended for those who need a little more than a babysitter on the phone in their horror films.
