Adam Sandler once again plays a whiny loser who comes good. Sandler plays Bobby Boucher, a 31-year-old waterboy who is fired by the championship football team he works for. He then talks his way into the position of a waterboy for a team of losers lead by the insecure Coach Kline (Henry Winkler)
During his time with the team they find out that he is an excellent football player and do I need to say more? I didn't think so.
My biggest problem with the movie is the plot. It's the typical Hollywood sports movie where everyone scorns the hero until he comes off the bench and leads them to glorious victory. On the plus side, I haven't actually seen this movie because our reviews were due before this film was released in Australia, so if you like Adam Sandler's humour then in all probability you'll enjoy this film. It was a commercial success in the States so my views probably don't count for much especially when it's a film I haven't even seen. Hope to see you at the film group.
