The first rule of Fight Club is: You do not talk about Fight Club. That makes it very hard to review it. It does mean that the movie is less likely to be spoilt. The less you know about Fight Club when you see it, the more you will enjoy it. So, sorry, no plot summary. OK: Edward Norton is dissatisfied with his life. There you go. The feel of the movie is excellent. The visuals and sound help to create an atmosphere that should enthrall all viewers. But the plot has not been left out. This movie dips up and down to be amusing, thought provoking and disturbing all at once.
Don't get fooled by the title: Fight Club is not just a Van-Damme-esque-Bloodsport-type mind-number. It is a very intelligent movie that just happens to use fairly graphic violence to portray its message more realistically. My personal favourite movie of 1999. Meatloaf with breasts!
