Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within can be lauded as being the most spectacular animation epic to grace the screens ever. The animation in this movie is approaching the point where fantasy does indeed become reality, or, at the very least, some are fooled into thinking that movie was filmed rather than drawn. The basic premise is, however, a little predictable - a lone female scientist making a final stand to save a chaotic and degenerating Earth from invaders (alien phantoms this time) with only a bunch of motley yet heroic soldiers to aid her. However, I think that in this case the visuals are likely to be so spectacular that any plot would merely be a distraction.
