This film follows the true story of Frank Abagnale Jr (Di Caprio) who, while still in his teens, operated as a con artist and swindler across America. Some of Abagnale's more spectacular impersonations included a doctor, a barrister and Pan-Am Airline pilot. Abagnale's character contrasts with the dull FBI agent Hanratty (Hanks), who chases Abagnale for several years but too often is given the slip. Six years and several million dollars later, Frank is eventually apprehended in France.

The film recreates the retro style and feel of the 60s beautifully. In fact, the film is worth seeing for the setting and costume alone. With what could only be described as addictive storytelling, Spielberg gives us a fast-paced and light drama that keeps us interested in the froth and bubble of Abagnale's activities. Worth watching for an entertaining night out; catch it if you can

A film for movie lovers, Who Is Cletis Tout? adopts a format similar to that of The Usual Suspects, though far more light-hearted. Described as a romantic crime comedy, this high-spirited film uses the captive Trevor Finch (Slater) to narrate the story of his mistaken identity. His captor, Critical Jim (Allen), believes Finch to be Cletis Tout, a member of the mob, and plans to shoot him as he was hired to, in 90 minutes, when the money is delivered. Finch proceeds to tell a startlingly confounding story involving a magician, Micah (Dreyfuss); his daughter, Tess (de Rossi); a stash of diamonds; and a daring prison break. Critical Jim's knowledge of movies, his use for lines from them, and his love of a good plot will warm the hearts of all Film Group compulsives.

This movie uses flashback to perfection. The R rating is for language, some violence, and sexual jokes. The five-star rating is for the lot. Who is Cletis Tout? Well, who isn't
