This is the third and final film in the Wachowski Brothers trilogy, and as they say in the movie, "Every beginning has an end." There is certainly a finish to the film, but it doesn't seem to be as final as I would have expected. Revolutions continues from where Reloaded left off. The machines are digging to destroy Zion, Neo is in a coma, trapped between the world of man and machine, and the rest of the human race is fortifying their defences. After some great fight scenes, Neo is rescued and they plan their fight back against the onslaught. There is a long battle against the machines while Neo faces his own demon who has advanced the field of cloning no end. The fate of mankind and machines hangs in the balance but which way it will tip is not clear.
Weaving is fantastic as Smith and others give outstanding performances. I was a bit disappointed by this film, but I might just have been expecting too much. The effects in the fight scenes are superb and the major battle scenes also are impressive. It's not a movie to miss by any stretch of the imagination.
