To say The Incredibles is incredible would be, besides a bad and rather obvious pun, very much the truth. Writer/director Brad Bird has put this together with care and a delicate touch and the attention to all points certainly shows through. It's what gives this movie something different, some depth that could easily have been overlooked.
The Incredibles is about a family of superheroes - the once famous and revered Mr. Incredible (Nelson) and Elastigirl (Hunter) have been forced, along with their friend Frozone (Jackson in a very cool role), to fit into everyday life after a series of lawsuits and public outcries against 'Supers'. Now that Bob and Helen Parr are ordinary, suburban humans they find it difficult to suppress their powers, also a problem for their son Dash and daughter Violet. But when Bob is offered a new job, things change... for better or worse, you'll have to find out. The casting is superb and there are far too many fantastic characters to name them all, but Edna (voiced by Bird) is a stand out and Syndrome (Lee) is great too. The animation and music also added to his film to make it, well, super.
