One of the things I like about lazy movies like Ocean's Twelve is that they entertain without you having to do much. You don't have to do anything like figuring out complicated plots or who fits in where, but simply sit back and enjoy the work of the director, actors and the rest of the crew, which makes it a nice break from some of the more hardcore brainiac movies.
The plot for Ocean's Twelve is simple, even if you haven't seen the originals (the 1960 or 2001 versions). Danny Ocean (Clooney) and his crew think they've got away with the heist from a casino of $160 million, only to get a reality check when casino owner Terry Benedict (Garcia) turns up and demands all of it back, with interest, in 2 weeks time.
Of course Danny Ocean doesn't have this lying around (who would?) which means Ocean's Twelve now have to pull off 3 heists in Europe to get it. With an intrepid Interpol agent (Zeta-Jones) on their trail and a competitor in the form of the 'Night Fox' there is no shortage of action. With so many big names like Pitt, Clooney, Roberts and Garcia cluttering the screen don't expect great acting. But the cinematography is excellent and if anything you won't need to go to Europe next year as you'll see so much of it. If you want an entertaining, lazy night without complex plots and method acting, then like me you'll enjoy Ocean's Twelve.
