Patience Philips (Berry) is just your average woman - shy, uncertain and stuck in a passionless job, as a graphic designer for Laurel Hedare (Stone), an ageing exsupermodel.

All of that changes when Patience ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Left for dead, she is instead reborn as - who else? - Catwoman. Suddenly filled with animal instincts, Catwoman rights wrongs, steals pretty trinkets for herself and takes a bit of time out to flirt with a spunky detective, played by Benjamin Bratt, along the way.

If you like your movies to have plenty of action, a fun script and some big names in the lead roles, Catwoman is the flick for you. The script can be silly and far-fetched at times, but you could say that of most comic-based movies. The fight sequences are well-done, especially the ones between Berry and Stone, and the actors clearly enjoy themselves in their roles. Perfect if you're looking for a fun, entertaining form of escapism.
