Sonny and Tubbs are back! Ricardo Tubbs (Foxx) is urbane and dead smart. He lives with Bronx-born intel analyst Trudy (Naomie Harris) as they work undercover transporting drug loads into South Florida to identify a group responsible for three murders. Sonny Crockett (Farrell) is charismatic and flirtatious; wild, but ultimately by the book - that is until he gets romantically entangled with Isabella (Li), the Chinese-Cuban wife of an arms and drugs trafficker, while working undercover with the supplier of a South Florida group.OK...this is blatantly a cut and paste from the press release. Miami Vice wont be released anywhere until long after this booklet goes to print. What I can guarantee you is two things: charisma and action. This remake is made by Michael Mann (creator of the original series, director of Collateral, Heat and Last of the Mohicans), so it's likely to be pretty true to the spirit of the original show. For anyone who never saw the original show, you're missing out! Swanky vice cops, deep undercover and more action than you could throw Arnie at! Bring it on!

Slither starts like most horror films; with a meteorite crashing into Earth and releasing a strange creature that proceeds to take over a small American town in the south. Why do meteorites always crash-land in remote red neck towns? Anyway, these slithering creatures (ha, get it...sorry that was pretty bad) ram themselves down your throat (ahh, the double entendres one could make if I wasnt trying to stick to a PG rating), embed themselves inside you and make you crave the taste of human flesh. And not just crave, they make you eat until you literally explode! So the rest of the story follows the local police force trying to stop the eventual consumption of the entire town and thus the world. Some of the jokes are actually quite funny and Nathan Fillion (of Serenity/'Firefly' fame) has some pretty good one-liners. The writing in this film is quite good (for its genre). This truly is the return of the B-grade horror film. This film has it all - red necks, slimy creatures, cheesy lines, a ridiculous plot, zombies and a sense of fun. It's a horror comedy, though not on the same level as Shaun of the Dead. It's slightly gory, but with relatively few truly scary moments. But it's still really fun. You'll enjoy this film even if you normally hate horror films. This is a film that doesn't take itself too seriously and if you're still reading this it probably means you'll enjoy this film.
