Just as the trailer says, this is the age old story - Boy meets girl, boy gets girl, girl makes boy crazy, boy breaks up with girl. But in this case, the girl just happens to be G-Girl, a reluctant superhero. With some egging on by a friend, Matt Saunders (Wilson) introduces himself to a girl on a train and finds what he thinks is the perfect girlfriend, the beautiful Jenny Johnson (Thurman). Everything seems to be going great until Matt finds out that perhaps his first impressions of Jenny were right in that, rather than being perfect, she is the perfect trifecta: needy, jealous and controlling. Matt wants to call it quits - but he finds out that breaking up with a superhero can be a very dangerous proposition. A scorned woman, Jenny unleashes on her ex the full fury of her super-powered wrath as she sets out on a no-holds-barred mission to humiliate him, torment him and bust up Matts budding romance with his co-worker Hannah (Faris). This is a really fun movie that will give you some great laughs. And perhaps a few ideas if you're a girl scorned...and a few worries if you are the boy at whom revenge may be directed.

Remember the controversy surrounding Basic Instinct? At the time, it was a must see and many of us made our way to the cinema to see it... Now, many years later, the sequel has arrived, and again Catherine (Stone) is in trouble with the law. Dr Michael Glass (Morrissey) is appointed to evaluate her but he becomes entranced by Catherine, and begins a seductive game with her. (Yes, this is a very similar plot line to the original...)Like most sequels, this movie has been criticised for not being as good as the first... but its not all bad. Some say Stone still looks great, others say that, at 47, she shouldn't be playing an erotic character. An erotic thriller with a character you love to hate, the story is very similar to the original. The jury's out - I think you'll have to make up your own mind. Come and see it simply to decide for yourself. With such mixed reviews, I think it's a must see.
