Larry Daley repeatedly disappoints his ex-wife Erica and their ten-year-old son Nick. So in an act of desperation to prove he can be a good role model for Nick, Larry accepts a security guard job at New York Citys famed Museum of Natural History. All seems to be going well until Larry discovers everything in the museum comes to life at night. Larry must then decide whether he is able to deal with the nightly chaos and still clean up ready for next morning. Night at the Museum has an excellent cast including Ben Stiller, Robin Williams, Dick Van Dyke and Mickey Rooney (and of course, where there's Ben Stiller, there's Owen Wilson, this time in an uncredited role). And if that isn't enough, come for the excellent rendition of Eye of the Tiger and the great batch of nicknames for Ben Stiller, as spoken by a very crotchety Mickey Rooney. Some favourites include snack shack, hopscotch, hot dog and weirdy. So come and spend a Night at the Film Group - it's a great film, and besides, the National Museum of Australia contains an FJ Holden, a Hills Hoist clothesline and Phar Lap's heart, which, while interesting, just aren't as fun as a full-size T-Rex skeleton coming to life and chasing you around for a bit!'
