King Arthur (Chapman) rides around the English countryside (without a horse and using coconuts to make the sound instead) to find knights worthy of joining the Knights of the Round Table at Camelot. After finding these worthy knights (including the aptly named Sir Not-appearing-in-this-film), they proceed to Camelot but decide not to stay (for tis a silly place). King Arthur and the Knights are given a task by God: to seek the Holy Grail. The Knights proceed to seek the Holy Grail, encountering many obstacles: from French taunters to a three-headed knight, to a killer rabbit to the Knights Who Say "Ni!", to the Castle Anthrax to the Bridge of Death. On their holy quest, the Knights bravely fight past these obstacles (with only minor casualties) in their quest to find the Holy Grail.Featuring the Monty Python team in multiple roles (try and spot how many roles each actor plays), this film is hilarious from start to finish. Those that are already Monty Python fans won't have read anywhere near this far before deciding to see this film, but if you haven't seen a Monty Python film before this is a brilliant way to start.'

Life of Brian is one of the most popular Monty Python movies. All of the regular Python team feature in this movie, often playing multiple characters. When Life of Brian was first released in 1979, it was banned in several countries as some Christians claimed it was blasphemous. Almost everyone else laughed at the clever satirical humour. Life of Brian follows the life of a simple man called Brian who happened to be born at the same time as Jesus, in the next building. Brian is a victim of circumstance, often in the wrong place at the wrong time, but in a society waiting for a Messiah he gathers followers without trying. Through this, the film satirises religious fanaticism and mob hysteria. Brian is one of the few straight characters in the film. The tragic expression on his face as he bungles from one situation to the next is priceless. There are many laugh-out-loud moments in the film. This film has it all - various speech impediments, crucifixion, a lesson in Latin, a stoning of a blasphemer, an ex-leper, a spaceship, committee bureaucracy, haggling etiquette, militant rebels and much more. Life of Brian will make you laugh - some people will laugh more than others but everyone will walk away with at least one scene that makes them smile.
