Two hundred and fifty years in the future, life as we know it is threatenedby the arrival of Evil. Only the fifth element can stop the Evil from extinguishing life, as it tries to do every five thousand years. She is helped by ex-soldier, current-cab-driver, Korben Dallas, who is in turn, helped by Prince/Arsenio clone, Ruby Rhod.Whilst a decent sci-fi movie overall, Bruce Willis seems to go out of hisway to prove just how bad an actor' he really is, if one can actually refer to his cardboard behaviours as acting. Having said that, his character does not seem to require more than cardboard acting!Luke Perry is another who surely deserves an honourable mention for his breathtaking portrayal of a character who would truly add to the quality of the script if he were non-existent.Milla Jovovich is probably the only one with a shred of talent in this movie, as she gracefully portrays Leeloo, the embodiment of The Fifth Element. Despite this, overall it's a creative, entertaining film with a nice combination of sci-fi themes and comedy. The question remains however; was Director Luc Besson on crack when he approved the hiring of Bruce Willis?'
