Based on the novel by Cecilia Ahern, P.

S. I Love You is about Holly's (Swank) life. Married to the gorgeous Irishman Gerry (Butler), Holly has a pretty good life. Then Gerry dies and her world falls apart. Holly spends the weeks after his death locked away in her apartment, not wanting to face the world at all. An intervention by family and friends on her 30th birthday forces her to shower, at least but it's the letter that arrives from Gerry that really spurs her into action.

Gerry, knowing his wife really well, tells her he has written a series of letters that will arrive randomly and will help her know what to do. Rather than tying her to the past, they encourage her to live life again and maybe even love again.

Surprisingly, the film is cute, funny and romantic, despite the potentially heavy subject matter. There are some gorgeous male characters in this movie, creating some rather funny moments. It's definitely a chick-flick all the laughter in the cinema was coming from females. Don't let that put you off, though P.

S. I Love You is worth checking out regardless of your gender. Invite a friend and share the love!P.
