This is set just after the events in Attack of the Clones where The Clone Wars had just begubegan. The war is raging between the Separatists and the Galactic Republic. But a devious plot is instigated by the Sith when Jabba the Hutt's son is taken by a group of renegades. Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi are called on to investigate. Yoda sends Ahsoka Tano along as Anakin's apprentice. But who is behind the group of renegades and where is the Hutt's son? The Jedi are soon clashing with the Sith and Anakin finds himself once more duelling Count Dooku. But will they be able to stop the Sith instigating a three-way war between the Separatists, the Republic and the Hutts?
The first animated Star Wars film bridges the gap between Episodes II and III and does so in splendid fashion. Consisting of huge scale battles and action sequences we get thrown into the middle of a war. The animation style is different, but works really well to give the film a very unique look. The story is also well written and really pulls you into this galaxy far, far away.
