This film tells the story of John Grogan (Wilson) and his wife, Jennifer (Aniston) who move to South Florida so Jennifer can take a job as a journalist with one of the top newspapers. Meanwhile John takes a job with a small newspaper where his best friend Sebastian (Dane) also works. When John becomes concerned that Jennifer will soon want children Sebastian tells him to buy her a dog.
Meet Marley, a Labrador puppy whose behaviour shocks even a hardened dog trainer yet wins the hearts of everyone as they realise that all you need to know about life you can learn from your dog. Funnily enough I can hear a friend of mine say those exact words, well probably those words and the word "Staffy!".
Marley & Me is one of the best all-around movies I've seen in a long time. Owen Wilson was great, Jennifer Aniston, perhaps surprisingly, held her own and "Marley" was fantastic! I can't imagine how much time must have gone into training that dog. This film is mostly full of laughs and life experiences, but be prepared because tissues may be required even if you aren't usually that way inclined. If you have a pet, had a pet or wished for a pet, then this movie is for you... and if you didn't fall into any of those categories, then what's wrong with you? Who doesn't wish for a pet?!?

Don't get in the way of a Bridezilla! The bride who wants the perfect day is generally not someone in whose way you want to get! What happens when you have two brides who want the perfect day? The perfect day in June at the perfect venue?! That's the storyline of Bride Wars.
Liv (Hudson) and Emma (Hathaway) have been best friends since they were children. Both wanted their wedding at the Plaza Hotel on a perfect June day. Both girls get engaged and both girls hire Marion St. Claire (Bergen) as their wedding planner... but a clerical error means that one of the girls is asked to reschedule their day... and both refuse!
It's fun, it's fluffy, it's cute... just what we expect from a chick flick. Bring your friends for a fun night out. It is escapism ((ndash)) chick flicks generally are. Don't go expecting a serious film, as that's the biggest criticism of this movie. I enjoyed it, and recommend it for those who just want to be entertained.
