Do I really need to write anything beyond the title? Surely that summarises everything you need to know about the film? It's not like you're expecting a Jane Austen romance or an expos((eacute)) on political exploitation in Venezuela, are you?
Okay, fine. Zack (Rogen) and Miri (Banks) are two low-paid roommates and friends since first grade who find themselves over their heads in debt and in danger of getting their power and water cut off in the middle of a bitter Pittsburgh winter. A chance encounter at a high-school reunion with a former classmate who's become a porn star and Zack thinks he has found the answer to their problems (again, see the title for the details), but going through with the plan turns out to be a little more complicated for both of them.
Writer/director Kevin Smith hits on all the joys and miseries of low-budget film making, throws in a large helping of his trademark combination of blatant filth and gooey love story, and comes up with a film that's both hilarious and touching in all the right ways ((ndash)) unless you're easily offended. In which case you can go *BLEEP* yourself.
