In January, I was deciding what to see using the www. I chose this one after one of the first reviews advised that the less you knew about it the more you would enjoy it. This is excellent advice that I now pass on to you. Be warned, there will be tears, and I also had goosebumps in one scene. You will get involved.

This is obviously a French film with some quirky "tr((eacute))s Français" people and circumstances. For once we don't see Paris ((ndash)) this film is located in Nancy. There is a sense of community with lots of interesting characters as we watch them at work and play. These are very well developed and you are drawn into their lives. There is depth, and while the daily events are not exciting they are warmly human. The acting is superb, particularly Kristin Scott Thomas. I rate her much higher now than I did before seeing this film.

The film is dubbed but you will hardly notice it. I've Loved You So Long should be so popular that it will require a rescreening ((ndash)) if it does it is worth watching twice. Whatever you do ((ndash)) DON'T MISS IT!
