We've seen many movies like this before such as Big, Suddenly 30, and Freaky Friday, just to name a few. But that's because we all love the classic story of switching ages. In 17 Again, it's 1989 and Michael O'Donnell is a star athlete with a full college scholarship imminent. He seemingly has it all, when right before the championship game his girlfriend Scarlett tells him she is pregnant. In that moment, he decides to throw everything away and propose to her. Twenty years later, Mike's life isn't exactly what he expected it to be (surprise, surprise!). While paying a visit to his former high school to reminisce, he encounters a strange bearded janitor, and soon after is magically transformed back into his 17-year old self with the chance to do it all over again.

Efron was great. I didn't see it coming, and I never thought I'd say such a sentence, but this guy can do better than TV Disney movies. The story of course is nothing original. If you can't figure out what happens, you've never seen a movie. And if you haven't seen a movie then I wouldn't start with this one! Luckily for me I've seen lots of movies at Film Group so I was actually pleasantly surprised and would definitively recommend this movie... although I remember when I was 17 and perhaps I'd choose a better year!
