Not since He’s Just Not That Into You have we seen such an all-star ensemble cast. And as far as I’m concerned, the cast is reason enough for you to get along and see this film!
Funnily enough, this film is about Valentine’s Day. The story follows the intertwining storylines of a group of Los Angelinos (okay, might not actually be a word but what else would you call people who live in L.A.?) as they find their way through the pressures and expectations of romance over one Valentine’s Day.
Now I really like Valentine’s Day. It’s sentimental I know, but I just really like it. And yes, I have all of the usual objections to the consumerism and commercialisation of a centuries old tradition, by creating a billion dollar industry out of something as simple as expressing love for one other. But I still really like it. So, basically I am the target audience for this type of film. But even so, Valentine’s Day will definitely appeal to a broader audience. So whether you’ve been in love, want to be in love or just want to see beautiful people doing it tough on Valentine’s Day (and secretly, don’t we all?), then pin your heart on your sleeve and I’ll see you there.
