I Am Love is the story of the wealthy Recchi family. The family is thrown into chaos when the family patriarch Edoardo Sr decides to share ownership of his massive industrial company with both his son Tancredi and his grandson Edoardo Jr. Meanwhile his grandson has plans of opening a restaurant with his friend who is a talented chef. The story becomes interesting when Edoardo’s mother, Emma, a Russian immigrant who has adopted the culture of Milan, enters into a passionate love affair with her son’s friend Antonio.

I Am Love is a critically acclaimed Italian film which has made a name for itself at the Venice and Toronto film festivals. Starring Tilda Swinton, who speaks both Russian and Italian in the film, it is an ambitious and complex drama. This film has it all; money, power, drama and romance. The film also includes a powerful score from acclaimed minimalist John Adams and costume design from fashion icon Jil Sander. A film not to be missed.
