Right. I am a male in his early 30s. Okay? Deal with it.
The film is the sequel to the first SATC movie, which of course followed the events of the series of the same name. This time around, we witness the foursome, Carrie ( Parker) Samantha (Cattrall), Charlotte (Davis), and Miranda (Nixon) meeting for the first time. Jump ahead a few years to the present and we again meet the girls at a same sex wedding where we learn that life for the four since the conclusion of the last film has become a bit stressful, (awwwww) what with marriages, babies, career changes and dealing with falling libidos amongst oncoming menopause (guess which character that one involves!).
Soon the girls are taking advantage of an all-expenses-paid vacation to Abu Dhabi (as you do), where plenty of inane jumps in logic and fish-out-of-water, sexual culture-clash-type wackiness ensues.
Critics have savaged this film due to its thin plot and offensive material concerning depictions of the Middle East and its occupants, but all have agreed that fans of the series will lap it up. Obviously if you love the series and the first film, you will no doubt grab the girls, get your heels on, down a few Cosmos and come along and soak in Sex and the Desert regardless of what some guy has to say about it!
