Okay, so for the uninitiated I’ll give you a quick rundown. There are these robots; some are good, some are bad, all of them transform themselves into other things so they can hide, it is just like they are in disguise…

Oh, who am I kidding… if you are not already a fan of Transformers and this film series then this probably won’t convert you, so if that’s the case take the evening off Film Group and enjoy your night of TV or have a nice dinner with friends.

If you have already invested some of your time and energy into the Transformers movies then this one will keep your faith in the awesome-ness of Transformers (I wish I could have said the same for the second movie!).

So what’s it about? Does it really matter? Oh okay, the film is set four years after the invasion of Chicago (try to remember back to Transformers: Dark of the Moon). To avoid spoilers I’ll keep this pretty general: a mechanic and his daughter make a huge discovery, while a powerful businessman and a group of scientists attempt to learn from past Transformer incursions and push the boundaries of technology beyond what they can control (of course they do!).

If you are keeping count, this is the fourth instalment of the current series but it still has Michael Bay at the helm. This time though we have Mark Wahlberg as our leading man heading up an entirely new cast of human characters and an introduction to Dinobots. So don’t miss this big screen adventure… dare I say it, it’s more than meets the eye.
