When his neglected daughter (Kim) decides to travel from Seoul to Busan to visit her mother, divorced father Seok-woo (Gong) reluctantly agrees to accompany her. But what begins as an innocent journey to the southern resort town soon becomes a fight for survival when the high-speed train becomes overrun by zombies during the course of the journey.

This South Korean action-thriller premiered out-of-competition at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year to rave reviews for its impressive action, social commentary and strong characters, and has since gone on to become one of the most buzzed-about films of the year.
