It all begins here! You will be laughing and tapping your toes from start to finish, but don’t take the script to heart because it can be shamelessly offensive at times. You have been warned.
Filled with hilarious actors including Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Adam Devine, Pitch Perfect will not only show you a good time, but also brings attention to the fact that a cappella – that is, singing without instrumental accompaniment – championships truly exist. And people get seriously competitive at these things.
We start off by witnessing a failed performance from the Barden Bellas, an all-female college a cappella group, at the championships no less. The disgraced Bellas then find themselves unable to recruit new students to join them the following year. Then we’re introduced to Beca (Kendrick), a musically-creative freshman who has no desire to be at college, let alone to join a publicly humiliated singing group. But it’s not long before Beca quickly changes her tune.
Yes, the storyline does get a tiny bit corny, but the top-notch performances really make it worth it and the film went on to become a surprise hit. Come and see why.

Welcome back a cappella enthusiasts!
After a wardrobe malfunction occurs during a live televised performance, the Barden Bellas are punished by being suspended, and banned from touring and auditioning new members. Harsh, right? And if you thought it couldn’t get any worse, it somehow does – they’ve been rudely replaced by a god-like German group known as Das Sound Machine on their victory tour. Their only option is to win at the A Capella World Championship in Copenhagen and be reinstated. At this point, it seems more likely that one of them will be struck by lighting and become The Flash.
As the dispirited Bellas work to fix up their act, Beca begins to contemplate life after college, quietly focusing on her career having already won numerous championship and approaching the end of her studies. Fortunately, the arrival of a new recruit in the form of Emily (Steinfeld) proves to be just what the Bellas need.
With more girl-power than ever before, toe-tapping musical numbers, and bigger roles for our favourite comedic couple – Rebel Wilson and Adam Devine – Pitch Perfect 2 is twice the fun.
