Lisbeth Salander is back – sort of. After the tepid response to their 2011 remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Hollywood is back at it again, instead now adapting the fourth Millennium novel, written by David Lagercrantz after original trilogy author Steig Larsson’s death.
The film sees vigilante hacker Salander (now played by Claire Foy) recruited to steal a computer program capable of accessing the world’s nuclear launch codes. But when the program is stolen from her, she must team up once again with journalist ally Mikael Blomkvist (Sverrir Gudnason) to recover the program before spies, Russian gangsters and corrupt government officials bring her down.
