It’s 1847 and Ireland is in the midst of the Great Famine as starvation, plague and disease run rampant. Abandoning his post with the British army abroad, Irish soldier Feeney (James Frecheville) returns home to reunite with his family. None of the horrors of war, however, could have prepared him for what awaits.

Seeking revenge for the wrongs committed against his family and his country, Feeney sets out on a relentless rampage against the establishment. In response, the British military sends a team of army officers – including a disgraced veteran (Hugo Weaving) – to end his bloody crusade.
