Everybody Knows is the latest film to be written and directed by two-time Oscar-winning Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi (A Separation, The Salesman). It is his first in the Spanish language, but just as absorbing and expertly crafted with two powerful leads in real-life couple Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem.

The psychological thriller tells the story of Laura (Cruz), who returns to her hometown outside Madrid with her two children to attend her sister’s wedding. The family reunion takes a dark turn, however, when Laura’s daughter is abducted. In the days that follow, Laura is forced to uncover dark family secrets in search for her daughter.
