Burning chronicles the tense relationship that evolves between aspiring novelist Lee Jong-su (Yoo Ah-in) and his childhood friend Shin Hae-mi (Jeon Jong-seo), which is upended by the arrival of a wealthy businessman (The Walking Dead’s Steven Yeun), who she meets while stranded on holiday in Africa.

Based on the short story ‘Barn Burning’ by acclaimed novelist Haruki Murakami, this remarkable film was one of the most acclaimed of the 2018 Cannes Film Festival.
