The Australian Dream documents the serial shaming and racially charged abuse directed at two-time Brownlow medallist footballer and Australian of the Year recipient Adam Goodes on the basis of his aboriginality. It examines the events leading up to Goodes’ eventual resignation from the AFL, his retreat from public life and his triumphant eventual return, while taking a broader look at the state of racism in contemporary Australia.
