Alexandre (Melvil Poupaud) is a family man who lives in Lyon, a bastion of the French Catholic Church, with his wife and four children. A fervent churchgoer, he is horrified when he learns that Father Preynat (Bernard Verley), the priest who abused him when he was a Boy Scout, is still working with children.
Unable to rest until he takes action, Alexandre joins forces with two fellow survivors – François (Denis Ménochet) and Emmanuel (Swann Arlaud) – to expose the Catholic Church and their inaction in the face of rampant sexual abuse. What follows is a sobering, gripping and fact-based account of a group of survivors' quest for the truth, one which will endanger the relationships with their loved ones, as well as compromise their own fragile selves.
Directed by acclaimed French filmmaker François Ozon. Based on a true story.
