Acclaimed Kiwi writer-director Taika Waititi (The Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Thor: Ragnarok) brings his signature style of humour and pathos to this hilarious and poignant World War II satire.
A lonely German boy (Roman Griffin Davis) finds his entire world view turned turned upside down when he discovers that his single mother (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a young Jewish girl (Thomasin McKenzie) in their attic. Aided only by his idiotic imaginary friend – who just so happens to be Adolf Hitler (Taika Waititi) – young Jojo must confront his naïve patriotism.
