Veteran con artists Theresa (Debra Winger) and Robert Dyne (Richard Jenkins) have spent 26 years training their only daughter – Old Dolio (Evan Rachel Wood) – to swindle, scam, and steal at every opportunity. But a life of crime doesn't always pay off: despite their best efforts, the Dynes are continually broke.

During a desperate, hastily conceived heist to cover the back rent on their apartment, Theresa and Robert meet a chatty young stranger named Melanie (Gina Rodriguez). It's not long before she too is convinced to join their next scam – much to the annoyance of Old Dolio.

A funny, wildly original and surprisingly human entry into the traditionally male-dominated genre of heist films, Kajillionaire is the latest effort from acclaimed filmmaker and artist Miranda July – and a peak example of her unique brand of offbeat, absurdist comedy.
