In the late ‘90s, Jason Statham was a former competitive diver and male model with no film credits to his name. After being introduced to fledgling British director Guy Ritchie, he landed his first ever role in Ritchie’s 1998 directorial debut, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. And the rest, as they say, is history.
More than 20 years later, Staham and Ritchie are back together again for another gritty, violent collaboration, this time a remake of the 2004 French film, Cash Truck (Le Convoyeur). In it, Statham stars as ‘H’, a mysterious new addition to the Fortico Security cash truck team, who are responsible for moving hundreds of millions of dollars around Los Angeles each week.
When a gang of brazen criminals attempt to rob one of Fortico’s trucks in broad daylight, H surprises his co-workers by unleashing deadly precision and skills, dispatching the would-be robbers with ease and saving the day. But who is H, and what are his true motives?
