In the probably-not-too-distant future, the hottest new piece of tech is a B-Bot: an egg-shaped, walking, talking, social media device that’s a “Best Friend Out of the Box” for anyone who has one. And everyone has one, it seems, except socially-awkward 12-year-old Barney (Jack Dylan Grazer). Realising how lonely he is, Barney’s father (Ed Helms) sets out to buy him his own B-Bot, but instead ends up purchasing a “slightly damaged” unit which literally fell off the back of a truck.
Barney is initially thrilled at his new toy – which he names Ron (Zach Galifianakis) – but quickly realises that it’s defective. Sensing a kindred spirit, Barney decides to keep Ron and teach him about the world, since the broken B-Bot is unable to connect to the internet.
Ron’s Gone Wrong follows in the footsteps of such shining examples of animated friendship as The Iron Giant or How to Train Your Dragon to strike just the right balance of laughs, spectacle and heart.

In medieval France, Marguerite (Jodie Comer) makes the daring and dangerous accusation that squire Jacques Le Gris (Adam Driver) raped her. And as is the oppressive custom in 14th century Europe, it falls to her knight husband, Jean de Carrouges (Matt Damon), to settle the matter – deemed a property crime, natch – with his former friend in a battle to the death. Worst of all, if he loses, Marguerite will be deemed a liar in God’s eyes and burned at the stake.
Based on the true story of the final judiciary duel held in France, Ridley Scott’s gripping historical epic depicts the events leading up to the duel in three distinct chapters, each reflecting the contradictory perspectives of the three main characters. To further drive home the point, each chapter is scripted by a different writer, making for a fascinating, daring and thought-provoking narrative.
