Suffering from writer’s block and under pressure to record their highly anticipated 10th album, Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters attempt to focus on their work by moving into an infamous mansion in Encino, California. Once inside the haunted house, the band gets much more than they bargained for as supernatural forces threaten to tear the band apart... literally.
Studio 666 is the first non-documentary film starring the legendary rock band Foo Fighters, based on a story by lead singer Grohl, who stars alongside his bandmates as fictionalised versions of themselves – including drummer Taylor Hawkins, who unfortunately passed away in March 2022.
In reality, the Foos recorded an album in the very same house during a COVID-imposed lockdown. But here they take their love of B-grade, campy horror film and amp it up to eleven, all without taking themselves too seriously.
