Following on from the massive success of 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok, Kiwi director Taika Waititi returns to reinvent the God of Thunder once again, taking him into new and unexpected directions in this colourful, jam-packed, Guns N' Roses-heavy Marvel adventure.
As the film begins, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is journeying throughout the universe on a quest for inner peace, accompanied by the Guardians of the Galaxy. Upon receiving a distress signal from an old friend, he learns that a vicious killer known as the God Butcher (Christian Bale) is attempting to make all gods extinct. To combat the looming threat on his people, he enlists the help of allies new and old, including King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), lovable rock monster Korg (Waititi) and, much to everyone’s surprise, Thor’s ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) – who now wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, with powers of her own.
