PRESENTED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE EMBASSY OF SWEDEN
While celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary, Karin (Marie Richardson) discovers that her husband is having an affair. This causes her to take a good, hard look at her life and where it's going – which leads her to join a cooking class led by renowned chef Henrik (Peter Stormare). In the hot kitchen, among amazing food, old and new friends, and second chances, more than one of Karin’s long-lost passions are reborn.
This debut feature from Swedish director Annika Appelin is a feel-good film packed with charm and delectable food. Notably, it also marks a return to Swedish filmmaking and a rare romantic role for Stormare, best known for playing villains in many Hollywood films, including Fargo, Minority Report, Constantine and The Big Lebowski.
