Walt Disney Animation Studios’ latest big screen adventure takes you on a journey deep into an uncharted and treacherous land… if you dare!

Searcher Clade (voiced by Jake Gyllenhaal) is a farmer and family man who has long sought to distance himself from his namesake, the legendary Clade family of explorers. But when his larger-than-life father, Jaeger (voiced by Dennis Quaid), disappears while on a mission, Searcher and his 16-year-old son are pulled back into the fray to locate him. Accompanied by a motley crew, the Clades must find a way to overcome their differences or risk failing their most crucial mission yet.

Inspired by classic adventure tales, such as the works of Jules Verne, and populated by all manner of memorable characters and creatures (including a mischievous blob and a three-legged dog), Strange World is one cinematic journey you won’t want to miss.

In the wake of King T’Challa’s sudden death, the Royal family of Wakanda – including his mother, Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), and sister, Shuri (Letitia Wright) – are forced to forge a new path for their kingdom without their leader. But even as their mourn, they find themselves fighting to protect their people from intervening world powers. Specifically, they are forced contend with Namor (Tenoch Huerta), the leader of the ancient-yet-advanced underwater nation of Talocan, who is drawn to the surface by the ramifications of T’Challa’s decision to reveal the truth of Wakanda to the world.

New films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe are always highly anticipated, but perhaps none more so than this sequel to the ground-breaking first Black Panther film after star Chadwick Boseman’s death from colon cancer in 2020. In addition to an added level of poignancy, his untimely passing also raises many questions about the future of Wakanda – both on and off screen.
