The latest film from Oscar-winning director Alejandro G. Iñárritu (The Revenant, Birdman) is an epic, visually stunning and immersive experience – and perhaps his most personal film yet.

It follows Silverio (Daniel Giménez Cacho), a renowned Mexican journalist and documentary filmmaker living in Los Angeles, who is compelled to return to his native country after being named the recipient of a prestigious international award. Unaware that this simple trip will push him to an existential limit, he begins experiencing peculiar dream-like visions as he grapples with what it means to be human.
