The story of Anne Frank and her diary is retold through a unique, contemporary lens in this heartfelt and visually wonderful animated film from Israeli director Ari Folman (Waltz with Bashir). It begins on a stormy evening when Kitty – the imaginary girl to whom Anne addresses her diary’s correspondence – mysteriously comes to life in modern-day Amsterdam. She goes on the run, not knowing what year it is, why she is there and most importantly, not aware of what has happened to Anne and her sister Margot.
A richly imaginative and all too timely work that melds history with hope.

After a lengthy absence from the big screen, Brendan Fraser gets the role of a lifetime in the latest film from director Darren Aronofsks (Requiem for a Dream, Black Swan). There’s a reason fans are heralding ‘The Brenaissance’ and his performance here fully earns the hype.
Fraser plays Charlie, a reclusive English teacher whose trauma has led to a binge-eating disorder and a subsequent obesity that isolates him from the world. When he discovers that his time is running out, he attempts to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter (Sadie Sink) for one last attempt at reconciling his broken family.
Winner of two Oscars in 2023, for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Brendan Fraser) and Best Makeup and Hairstyling.
