In 1993, 16-year-old Brandon Lee enrolled at Bearsden Academy, a secondary school in a well-to-do suburb of Glasgow, Scotland. A preternaturally bright student, he surprised his teachers with knowledge beyond his years and made fast friends, despite an initial awkwardness. What followed over the next two years would become the stuff of legend when it is revealed that ‘Brandon’ is not who he says he is.

Filmmaker Jono McLeod returns to his old school for a playful, nostalgic look at the strange-but-true story of his former classmate, brought to life by actor Alan Cumming.

Despite being one of the world’s most famous authors, not much is known about Emily Brontë life beyond her young death at the age of 30 from tuberculosis. As such, this unconventional biopic from Aussie actress-turned-director Frances O’Connor takes liberties imaging Brontë’s (Emma Mackey) transformative journey to womanhood in Victorian-era Yorkshire.

Covering the years leading up to the writing of ‘Wuthering Heights’, Brontë navigates complex relationships with her sister Charlotte (Alexandra Dowling), her maverick brother (Fionn Whitehead), and a forbidden first love that has more than a little in common with her one and only novel.
