PRESENTED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE EMBASSY OF ITALY
Oscar-winning director Giuseppe Tornatore (Cinema Paradiso) celebrates the life and legacy of his friend and collaborator, legendary Italian composer Ennio Morricone. Revolving around an interview with Morricone recorded shortly before his death at age 91 in 2020, this fascinating documentary offers an intimate look at one of the world’s most prolific film composers, who was responsible for more than 500 scores, including The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, The Thing, The Untouchables and The Hateful Eight.
Running the gamut from Morricone’s early career in TV commercials and pop music, through to his iconic work on Sergio Leone’s Spaghetti Westerns and his later mainstream success in Hollywood, this is a must-see for cinephiles and music fans alike.
