Pixar’s latest animated adventure transports us to the wonderful world of Element City, where the four elements – fire, water, earth and air – all co-exist. They may live and work together, but it’s far from harmonious, with each element generally keeping to their own district. Young, fiery Ember (Leah Lewis) has always stayed close to home in Firetown with her immigrant parents, who hope that she’ll take over the family business one day. But when an accident leads to an encounter with the watery Wade (Mamoudou Athie), she gets a chance to finally venture out of her comfort zone and discover just how much they have in common.
Elemental may not reach the dazzling heights of Toy Story or Inside Out, but it’s still a beautifully animated fable which once again breathes life into abstract high concepts with a heartwarming message about the immigrant experience.

In 1944, with WWII drawing to a close, Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) is once again facing off against the Nazis, making off with one half of a mythical dial created by Archimedes that allows its possessor to control space and time. Prudently, Archimedes split the dial two and hid the other half, but that hasn’t deterred a dastardly Nazi scientist (Mads Mikkeksen) from trying to track it down.
Fast forward to 1969 and Indy is now grumpier, older, and miserable at his irrelevance in the modern world. On the verge of retirement, he is set off on one last quest by his goddaughter Helena (Phoebe Waller-Bridge) to find the missing half of dial – and perhaps the spark of adventure he once had too.
James Mangold (Logan) takes over the directing reins from Steven Spielberg for this poignant, fifth – and supposedly final – adventure for the legendary archaeologist. Welcome back, Dr. Jones.
