40-year-old Parisian high school teacher Rachel (Virginie Efira) finds her entire outlook on life upended when she begins a passionate relationship with the charming and recently divorced Ali (Roschdy Zem). But there are more than just two people in the relationship; Ali also has a four-year-old daughter named Leila. Gradually, Rachel allows herself to be drawn into their world: collecting Leila after school, looking after her, and sharing holidays together. As her yearning for a family of her own grows stronger, Rachel must also contend with Leila’s birth mother and Ali’s ex-wife (Chiara Mastroianni).
