After being deemed no longer capable of living alone, 92-year-old Madeleine (Line Renaud) calls a taxi to take her to the retirement home where she will live out the rest of her days. Down-on-his-luck cabbie Charles (Dany Boon) takes the fare, but what should have been a simple journey soon turns into something more as Madeleine convinces him to take her on an impromptu tour across Paris, visiting places from her storied life. As Madeleine and Charles relive some of the fondest memories – and bleakest moments – from her past, they forge an unexpected friendship that will change both of them forever.
With a cheeky sense of humour and a lot of heart, this beguiling French drama explores the bond between strangers and the importance of kindness. It may have a somewhat predictable destination, but is a lovely ride nonetheless.

One week after a violent robbery gone wrong, a mysterious getaway driver (Barry Pepper) receives his latest assignment: to collect a young and unsuspecting new crew member (newcomer Jamie Costa) and drive him to a secret location. With the knowledge that he’s almost certainly driving his passenger to an ambush execution, the driver’s conscience is tested like never before. As the repercussions of the robbery become apparent, and loyalties and morals collide, he must also contend with the ruthless mob boss (Rachel Griffiths) calling the shots and a dangerous money launderer (Sam Neill).
Shot entirely in Queensland by Australian genre director Luke Sparke (Occupation), this gritty crime thriller takes place predominantly within the confines of our unnamed driver’s 1970 Chauvel Super Sport muscle car. But that’s not to say it isn’t packed with action, thrills and unexpected turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
