In Budapest in 1957, a year after the failure of the Hungarian uprising, a young government agent (Zsolt Nagy) in charge for an elaborate testing process to ascertain loyalty to the current regime. He does not realize that he is being watched and photographed too, by his superior and mentor (János Kulka), and soon becomes embroiled in a highly deceptive spy game which puts his loyalty to the ultimate test.
