Five women from a Melbourne tech company head out into a remote wilderness on an executive retreat, but several days later, only four return. Federal agent Aaron Falk (Eric Bana) has a keen interest in the whereabouts of the missing hiker, Alice (Anna Torv), who happens to be a corporate whistleblower. With a storm fast approaching, Falk and fellow agent Carmen Cooper (Jacqueline Mackenzie) must untangle a complex web of suspicion and betrayal and head deep into the Giralang Ranges to locate their missing informant before it’s too late.
Director Robert Connelly and Eric Bana reunite after 2020’s The Dry to bring the next in Jane Harper’s series of mystery novels to the big screen. The result is a gripping whodunit which, like its predecessor, uses its unique Australian location to maximum effect.

In the 1980s, the intensely competitive world of professional wrestling was dominated by the Von Erich brothers: eldest Kevin (Zac Efron), showman David (Harris Dickinson), Olympic hopeful Kerry (Jeremy Allen White) and aspiring musician Mike (Stanley Simons). Their desire to achieve larger-than-life immortality is brought on not just by their embittered father (Holt McCallany), once a failed wrestler himself, but also a belief that their family is cursed with bad luck. But as the brothers experience both tragedy and triumph, they begin to question their livelihood.
Acclaimed writer-director Sean Durkin (Martha Marcy May Marlene, The Nest) steps up his game with this tragic, haunting exploration of the family ties. And its beating heart is Efron’s stunning, transformative performance, a far cry from his teen heartthrob days.
